Dot818 at Glendale Tech Week

Dot818 had the pleasure of participating in two events yesterday during this year’s Glendale Tech Week.

First, we attended the Verdugo Job Fair to network with prospective job seekers in the thriving technology sector. Later, Alek Kotolyan, VP at dot818, was invited as a panelist to speak about Glendale’s role in the growing tech and AI industries. He shared the stage with other leaders in the tech space, including  Senator Anthony Portantino, the Mayor of the City of Glendale Ardy (Ardashes) Kassakhian, and President and Co-founder of Service Titan Vahe Kuzoyan.

During the “Building and Growing AI/Cloud Company” panel, industry leaders shared their thoughts on why Glendale and Los Angeles are the places to be for tech. When looking to enter the tech space, they stated these areas have immense talent, thanks to young and ambitious graduates from local colleges, such as USC and UCLA.

Others mentioned Glendale’s robust economy, job market, and highly-skilled immigrant populations. With an influx of talent from overseas and contributions to college-level AI and Data Science courses, Glendale is making a significant impact on tech.

Dot818 has attended Glendale Tech Week every year, and we are honored to share our knowledge of the flourishing industry. We are passionate about Glendale’s impact on the tech industry and look forward to continuing to participate in events that help the community grow
